Fresh, Local Food That Feeds Your
Family, Supports Your Community,
and Protects the Land
Community Supported Agriculture is a share in the farm. As a Farmer Dave’s CSA member, you receive a weekly box of produce grown on our farm with convenient pickup or home delivery in 20 communities. Our CSA runs year-round, offering the best of each season — from summer favorites and fall harvests to winter staples and greenhouse-grown greens.
Joining a CSA is a simple way to eat more seasonally, enjoy fresher food with fewer food miles, and directly support local farming, farmland preservation, and local food pantries and food access partners. Our CSA members typically save 20–50% compared to buying the same quality produce at the grocery store and discounts on PYO experiences.
A CSA Built Around Freshness and Variety
Farmer Dave’s CSA is carefully planned with successive plantings and a wide range of familiar crops to deliver a long, abundant harvest all season. Each week, produce is harvested at peak freshness, packed, and delivered to local pickup sites—bringing you vibrant flavors, nutrition, and variety. We offer different share sizes and types to fit every household from young professionals to families to empty nesters. Members also receive a weekly newsletter with pickup details, storage tips, recipes, videos, and farm updates, so you stay connected to what’s growing, what’s coming, and life on the farm (with a little help—and flexibility—from Mother Nature).

Frequently Asked Questions About Our CSA
Can I use SNAP to pay for my CSA?
Yes! Eating fruits and vegetables each day is important for your health. Farmer Dave’s is proud to support and accept EBT/SNAP/HIP.
How to use your SNAP/HIP Benefits for CSA
- The SNAP/HIP program allows you to use your benefits to purchase shares of fresh fruits and vegetables from Farmer Dave’s with your SNAP benefits during the CSA season.
- Your CSA payment is automatically debited from your EBT card the same day you receive your SNAP/HIP benefits each month.
- Once you sign up, you will pick up your share each week from a convenient pick-up site near your community.
- To order shares using your SNAP/HIP benefits, please Contact Us.
SNAP/HIP is also accepted at our Farm Stands and most Farmers Markets.
Are there add-ons available for CSA members?
Yes! CSA members have access to weekly add-ons that can be purchased alongside their share. Add-ons may include pantry staples, fresh bakery items, prepared meals and soups from our farm kitchen, local products, flowers, and seasonal bulk produce. Simply place your order online and pick everything up together at your regular CSA pickup.
Add-ons are additional produce/products that are ordered in CSAWare and delivered with your CSA share. All orders must be placed before your order deadline (shown below). If you miss the deadline, the order will be sent the following week.
Add-on orders must be attached to your current season CSA share. If you have purchased shares for more than one season, CSAware will prompt you to select which share to attach your order to. Please be sure to choose the active, current season share—otherwise your add-ons may be scheduled incorrectly. If you do not have a current active CSA share, add-on purchases are not available.
Pick-Up Day Order Deadlines (orders must be placed before noon)
- Monday pick-up → order by Sunday
- Tuesday pick-up → order by Sunday
- Wednesday pick-up → order by Monday
- Thursday pick-up → order by Tuesday
- Friday pick-up → order by Wednesday
What happens if I miss a pickup or need a vacation hold?
If you miss your CSA pickup, your share has already been harvested and packed to order and cannot be held past the scheduled pickup time. Any unclaimed shares are donated each day to our local hunger relief partners.
If you’re unable to pick up your share for a vacation or scheduling conflict, you’re welcome to send someone else in your place. With at least 48 hours’ notice, we can also help arrange a one-time change such as delivery to an alternate location or holding your share to be combined with another week, depending on your preference. Send an email to farm@farmerdaves.net to arrange.
Where and when do I pick up my CSA share?
You’ll pick up your CSA share at your selected farm stand or pickup location on your assigned weekly day and time. Pickup details are confirmed at registration and can be viewed in your account at any time.
We can also help change your pickup to another scheduled location or time with at least 48 hours’ notice, based on whichever pickup day comes first. Please note that changes must be made in advance so we can ensure your share is packed and delivered correctly.
What CSA share options are available?
We offer Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, Fruit, and Field & Market shares. Small or Regular sized shares are available depending on the season. Visit our Box Options page to compare seasons, share types, and find the best fit for your household.

How do I bring the CSA to my community or workplace?
"Being a member has made my husband and me eat more vegetables. I like trying new vegetables that I would not normally buy if I saw them in the grocery store. I like knowing that we are supporting something local and helping the environment by eating locally grown, in season vegetables."
— Patricia
"My family has been a member of the CSA for a few years now. When we first started I was intimidated by all the veggies I didn’t know. However your website is amazing for identifying veggies and getting ideas for recipes. You have helped me learn how to eat healthy and in season, and in turn teach my family."
— Angela
“Everyone at Farmer Dave’s is dedicated to excellent customer service too. I have always had wonderful interactions with everyone on the farm. Thank you for all that you do.”
— Lori
“We eat better year round, learn new ways to prepare and preserve healthy food, support our environment and community and enjoy a fun treasure hunt at every pick up with staff to answer questions."
— Susan
“Farmer Dave's was great! Did carrots and potatoes picking in the fields. Was so much fun and easier then we thought it would be. They have apples and pumpkin picking too. Was an awesome experience thank you for the adventure and memories. We will definitely be back next season! The store is great also! Definitely check this farm out, kids of all ages will love it.”
— Leona
“I have yet to find fresher fruits and vegetables anywhere… The store is clean and maintained well, offering a reasonably priced and broad selection of whatever is in season at the time and available from its own and other local farms. The staff is always courteous and helpful, making each visit a pleasant trip. I highly recommend to anyone looking for fresh, locally locally grown produce. On a side note, the ice cream shop on site is absolutely amazing."
— Thomas
“They are the nicest people, ever! Very informative and kind. Love getting fresh produce, 10x better than any grocery store."
— Coco

— Windy
“It has been amazing and wonderful to see Farmer Dave grow! The new farm stand store is SPECTACULAR and they are doing some great things. They have added so much fresh baked items, jams, and more to the already impressive selection of vegetables. We got at least once or twice a week and can't imagine life without them now. Thank you!!!"
— Mark
“I've been a Farmer Dave's CSA member for nearly 10-years. They have had the best and most consistent produce over the years despite unseasonal temperatures and too much or too little rain. I've tried both the pick-up and delivery options and love them both and the staff have always been helpful, friendly, and easy to communicate with. Supporting your local farms and getting fresh produce every week is always a good thing; it's even better with Farmer Dave's."
— Sara
“We've been part of the Farmer Dave's CSA for years and love it. The amount of food you get each week is generous, plus it tastes great and lasts so much longer than grocery store produce. You also frequently get bonus items and add ons are available. The bakery items are delicious. The PYO produce is so fun because they offer unique items like potatoes and carrots in addition to the usual fruits. Definitely check out this lovely farm!"
— Amanda
“We LOVE Farmer Dave's! They are so great – we've been CSA members for years and the produce and people are both awesome. Highly recommend!!"
— Greg
